Le opzioni reali per gli investimenti energetici

Il settore energetico italiano è caratterizzato da grandi sfide. Attualmente molti progetti rischiano di essere ritardati o persino cancellati a causa dell’incertezza dominante nei mercati italiani, europei e mondiali.

La scenario attuale dei mercati energetici è dominato dall’incertezza: l’alta volatilità dei prezzi delle materie prime, le incertezze normative e politiche sull’energy mix e sui meccanismi di sostegno delle scelte energetiche ed in infine consumi in rapido cambiamento minano la tradizionale capacità delle aziende del settore di operare investimenti di medio e lungo termine. A ciò è necessario aggiungere la considerazione che questi mercati sono tradizionalmente poco liquidi, oltre ad analisi di natura geopolitica sulla sicurezza degli approvvigionamenti e di natura finanziaria alla luce dell’andamento dei mercati finanziari mondiali.

An uneven recovery

For most chemical producers, 2009 was the most difficult in memory – if not history.  As a result of the economic slowdown, and the spreading global financial crisis, chemical companies faced a series of challenges throughout the year.  Early in 2009, demand for most chemical products fell to five-year lows, before output stabilized and a gradual recovery began.

Corporate Social Responsibility: Demand for Greater Disclosure Intensifies

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the chemical industry is entering a new era as the pressure increases for all firms to make their greenhouse gas (GHG) emission data publicly available.  Only half of the 30 largest chemical firms publicly report their carbon dioxide (CO2) emission data.  Priscilla McLeroy, Director and Managing Partner of ADL’s Energy & Chemicals Practice provides perspectives on this topic from public accountability to corporate transparency.

Renewables industry targeted by oil industry: US Think Tank
